Kung Fu Dining at Pho Republique Print E-mail
Wednesday, 15 October 2008

Wed. Oct. 15

Everybody was kung-fu fighting ... If you're of a certain age, just those words put a melody in your head, a guilty pleasure of one, we suspect, from a song by back when David Carradine was playing kung fun on TV. Since, we're in a mix-and-match age, a time when a little gimmick is not necessarily a bad thing, we feel compelled to tell you of Pho Republique's Kung Fun Kitchen, Wednesday Oct. 15 from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. What is the Kung Fu Kitchen? They call it "an evening of flying woks and kung fu kicks" You get: complimentary dim sum, drink specials available at the bar such as a tall glass of caffeine fanatic fury “The Saigon Kick”, made from an ancient secret special blend of Pho house java, Van Gogh Double-Espresso Vodka, Canton Ginger Liquor & Bailey’s Irish Cream ($9.50).

You get Martial Arts demonstrations and a lion dance performance by Nam Pai Kung Fu Academy. You view classic kung fu flicks on the tube and enjoy Pho’s extensive cocktail list and order off their regular dinner menu. Chef Arnond “Arnold” Sreesuvan’s is unveiling “The Master of the Pho-Tastic” new Fall menu items. You can enter the restauarnt and watch the goings on for free, but chances are pretty good you'll want to eat and drink too, so we should say there is a cash bar and regular dinner service. You can enter a contest to win a free Kung Fu lesson at Nam Pai Kung Fu Academy.Register ahead of time at
