Mon. June 2 The movie is called "Flesh and the Devil," and at first blush we thought the Coolidge Corner Theatre was screening a XXX movie from the '70s that we ma naged to miss. Nope. It's a 1926 silent movie starring Greta Garbo in her third American film and her first with her off-screen lover John Gilbert. Yep, they were that era's Brangelina. The film, which screens as part of the Coolidge's quarterly "The Sound of Silents" series on Monday June 2, will be accompanied by music (live, in the flesh, so to speak) from Martin Marks. The Coolidge people say this one still "packs a passionate punch, with a surprise ending and gorgeous black and white photography." It's at 7:15 and tickets are $9.75. A discussion follows. 290 Harvard St., Brookline, 617-734-2500 www.coolidge.org
