Cyndi's "True Colors" Tour Begins in Boston ... like all great revolutions Print E-mail
Friday, 30 May 2008

The groundbreaking tour was conceived by Cyndi stemming from her desire to give back to the community for the love and support they have given her throughout her career. The 'True Colors' Tour is a celebration of the basic values and freedoms that should be shared by all Americans." his year, we have Lauper, The B-52s, Rosie OCyndi Lauper’Donnell, Regina Spektor and The Cliks, with host Carson Kressley. (There are other guest artists later in the tour like the Indigo Girls, Joan Jett and Andy Bell.) We saw the B-52s at the Paradise on their warmup club tour and can assure you that the fun/kitsch/irony factor remains intact and the sound ageless. Cyndi, you know, is gonna give it her all, and, no doubt, sing a song we've come to think should be our National Anthem, "Money Changes Everything." (She did sing this at the Boston Pops 4th of July on the Esplanade a few years ago.) Rosie is Rosie and Spektor and the Clicks are the new kids on this block. Nothing in life is guaranteed, but we'd guess you'll have a splendid time. It's at the Bank of America Pavilion. Tickets are $76.00. Show starts at 6 p.m.
