Thurs. June 5 There's a lot of groups that do good work out there in this vast world - disaster relief workers, amnesty fighters - but one we've admired from the get-go is Doctors Without Borders. Our former colleague at the Globe, Richard Knox (now Health and Science Correspondent for National Public Radio), hosts a discussion called "On the Medical Frontlines: Richard Knox in Conversation with Doctors Without Borders" at thr Boston Public Library. They will discuss the challenges of reaching people caught in conflict, treating malnutrition, and responding to epidemics, and share how they have made working with DWB a part of their lives. It's in the Rabb Lecture Hall, is free, and starts at 7. 700 Boylston St., Copley Square, 617-859-2212 www.bpl.org
