Thurs. June 5 A friend of ours was sporting an old Sonic Youth t-shirt the other day and it had Kim Gordon hoisting a placard with the worlds "Angry, Very Angry." Tim Fite could hold that card. Fite is a multi-media performer who opens for Adam Green (ex-Moldy Peaches) at Great Scott Thursday June 5. You might expect bits from his hip-hop album, "Over the Counter Culture," which featured an anti-war song, "Camouflage" and an anti-posturning song called "Shot." Live, Fite's been described as a Mr. Rogers From Hell. His act is bargain-basement Laurie Anderson part mad man against the music industry. Fite's latest album, "Fair Ain't Fair," came out earlier this month and has gotten a ton of praise from respected outlets, including this from Esqure: "This enigmatic, genre-bending songwriter is one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most subversive renaissance men.” Expect a good dose of dark comedy and music. DJ Carbo starts it off spinning discs, and if DJ Carbo's doing that you know this must be part of the Fenway Recordings Sessions, which is is. Starts at 9. Tickets $14 1222 Commonwealth Ave., 617-566-9014 www.greatscottboston.com
