What is the difference between Boston's 10th annual NEMO Music Conference and Festival and a weekend in clubland? Keep in mind, clubs aren't dark too many nights of the week in these parts to begin with. But NEMO has put together theme nights and record label nights and the Boston area will be stuffed to the gills with new and emerging talent. (The conference part of it for industry folk - I'm on a panel at 3:30 p.m. Saturday is at the Boston Center for the Arts. There's an art show there, too.) Some of the themes: The Halifax Pop Explosion at the Abbey Lounge Friday; Go Girls Showcase at All Asia Saturday; the ASCAP/FNX/Planetary Group night at Bill's Bar Friday; the FNX/Phoenix/Fenway Recordings night Friday at Great Scott; and the inevitable Myspace Presents night Saturday at Harper's Ferry.
