Worldly Jazz from Ragazzi and Michelin at Ryles Print E-mail
Wednesday, 19 March 2008

Wed. March 19

You may have seen the duo Claudio Ragazzi-Nando Michelin playing to a full house at the Wang Theatre when they opened for Joao Gilberto. They're at a much more intimate venue Wedensday March 19, Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge's Inman Square. Michelin, who plays piano, says, "Claudio's music is as unique as his virtuso guitar playing. We play some of his great compositions, as well as some of mine, and some beautiful music from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. Claudio's and my music are strongly influenced by South American composers such as Piazzolla, Guinga, Hermeto Pascoal, Gismonti, as well as the Jazz improvisational approach" They start at 9 and play a second set around 10:45PM. The cover $10.
