Some Bleedin' Luxury at Great Scott on St. Paddy's Day Print E-mail
Monday, 17 March 2008

Mon. March 17

The Luxury has some good news to report. The anthemic and rousing Boston rock band fronted by singer/guitarist Jason Dunn has finally finished its first video. Reports Dunn: "After two months work and approximately six months downtime after the director (still our friend) vanished to LA, we've finally finished our first music video, for 'Malcontent' off the debut record 'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things.' It's a hoot, filled with sock puppets, pretty girls and pretty sets, and a big ol' party... It was directed by Trey Hamilton (now a Hollywood hotshot whose name can be found in the closing credits of several, erm, schlocky VH1 shows) and starring Meaghan Moulton as "Mina", . Also, the main camera guy worked on 'Terminator.' That's pretty cool.
It's located at our website, www.luxurytheband.com." All that's well and good for you stay-at-home computer types - and we at JSInk love ya - but if you're in the mood to go out, the Luxury is playing Monday March 17 at Great Scott with the headlining Bleedin' Bleedins. (Also on the bill: Baker and Animal Closet. Admittedly, it's not a St. Patrick's Day kind of show, but the Dropkick Murphys are well sold out at the Paradise and the Luxury could well provide your early-week rock rations. Starts at 9. Tickets: $10.
