Friday-Saturday Sept. 29 & 30 Seems like we've known a lot of "queens of mean" in our day, the best being Leona Helmsley because she really was that and wasn't trying to be Joan Rivers-funny about it. Lisa Lampanelli has a tag of the "Loveable" Queen of Mean, which might seem a contradiction in terms, but we're guessing it's there to connote that fact that when she calls you queer, fat or bald she only means in the Don Rickles sense: That it's part of the shtick and she really loves you. Lampanelli is a bawdy insult comic and she's got five shows Sept. 29 & 30 at the Comedy Connection. Tickets range from $22.50 to $27.50. Check the club's website for times and exact prices. Leave your sense of being offended at home. 245 Quincy Market Building, 617-248-9700, comedyconnectionboston.com
