Rude Noises, Pink Ladies, Fight MS at Felt Friday Print E-mail
Friday, 29 February 2008

Fri. Feb. 29

Do you like alliteration? Do you like pink lingerie donned by hot babes? Do you like Boston DJ Rick Rude (in photo)? Do you like partying up a storm, while feeling good about yourself because you're helping to raise money to fight disease? If these questions piqued your interest you may just want to shake your booty at Felt Friday Feb. 29, where the club hosts a "Hot Pink Panther Party" starting at 8 - get there early for the hors d'oeuvres - and going 'til 2. (Actually, the 8-10:30 part is private, meaning it probably costs more than the $20 cover later, but you find out by calling the number below.) Whenever you come, you will be treated to music from Mr. Rude, who happens to be celebrating a birthday, but is nonetheless ageless, as are all DJs, and enjoying the charms of the lovely Pink Panther Girls in their Kiss Me Lingerie. The cause: Curing MS.This, in fact, is the kickoff party for Multiple Sclerosis Cure Month. I know a few folks with this horrible disease, in varying stages of it, and wish for nothing more than a cure. Several years ago, I was covering an event for the Globe and talked backstage with Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson's, a related disease. He said he really, truly believe there were medical breakthroughs around the corner for these neurological diseases - one of the reasons he started his Foundation and was stumping so much for it. Anyway, do your part to fight MS and do it for fun.
