       When I was very young and the Red Sox established the Jimmy Fund for young cancer patients, my parents told me the fund had something to do with me - it was a joke, I knew - but it was one we employed for many years. My nickname was Jimmy so it was like, "Hey, Mum and Dad, would you like to contribute to the Jimmy Fund?" The real Jimmy Fund is a great cause, of course, and on Wednesday Sept. 20, they'll be the beneficiary of the Got Cow? CowParade Auction at the Boston Marriott Copley Place from 6-10 p.m. For your $100, you get hors d'oeuvres and an open bar and a chance to bid on those colorful cows you've seen about town. What would you do with one of those cows? This is something we cannot answer. But people steal cows from the Hilltop Steak House all the time ....
